Right next door to the Tamahere Country Club is St Stephen’s Church which is home to the famous Tamahere Country Market. This was initially established as a community outreach project and provides a much-needed income for the parish.

The open-air market is hugely popular and features local produce and products that are all made, grown or created locally. It’s held every third Saturday of the month from 8.30am – 1.30pm. Eftpos is available on site and the market is dog friendly.

Over the years it’s become a community focal point and provides great facilities and support for local vendors. There are over 100 sites offering a huge variety of craft, food and produce together with buskers and a great country atmosphere.

You’ll find something for everyone here including cheeses, wine, small trees, garden art, craft, art, children’s clothes and pre-loved collectables. There are also coffee and Devonshire teas, mussel fritters, famous Tamahere Market bacon and egg butties, fudge, treats and lots more!

Parking is available on Tamahere Drive in the paddock opposite the church grounds and disabled parking is adjacent to the church driveway. Our residents will be lucky to have this market right on their doorstep – they can just pop through the gate!
