We’ve had a glorious summer in the Bay of Plenty this year but our poor gardens have been desperate for some rain!
Our prayers were answered on 21st February when the heavens finally opened – 36 days since the last drop of rain fell at Bethlehem Country Club.
Many of our residents are keen gardeners, and work with our landscape team to create their own glorious patch of paradise.
The garden pictured here on one of our corner sites was planted just 11 months ago and is already a wonderful site to behold. Apple trees, pears and persimmons are thriving alongside ornamentals and boarder shrubs. These plants lapped up every drop of rain that fell – albeit briefly – and the grass also received a much-needed boost.
Temperatures are beginning to cool now and we’re looking forward to seeing some stunning autumn colours emerge around our grounds in the weeks to come.
