Our brand new village at Tamahere, in the heart of the mighty Waikato, will be ready to open this November and the number of enquiries we’ve already received has blown us away.
We erected a billboard last December beside our new site on Airport Rd (SH21) and now have a wait list of over 40 people as a result. The Sanderson Group’s reputation for quality (and a distinct lack of three bedroom, double garage retirement options in the Waikato), means people can hardly wait for construction to begin!
We’re due to take possession of this prime piece of land in April, once the Waikato Christmas Tree farm has finished relocating. We’ll then transform it into the Tamahere Country Club – offering boutique community living in an idyllic rural location.
Our new village will comprise only 93 luxury homes ranging in size from 141m² to 303m², with prices starting at $795,000.
A further 23 two storied apartments will be built featuring two bedrooms with a single garage. We’ll also construct a 30 bed advanced care unit with 10 dedicated dementia beds and 20 rest home/hospital beds for complete care and peace of mind. These rooms will be larger than normal and provide a nicer living environment than your typical hospital care situation.
In keeping with the style and amenities offered at our other villages, a new 1500m² clubhouse plus separate Health Spa will provide a focal point for residents to gather. A movie theatre, library, bar, billiard tables, lounge and dining room will all be built with luxury and comfort in mind.
Work will begin as soon as we take ownership of the site, and three show homes of various sizes will be the first to get underway. Once the Retirement Village Association has processed our application, we can begin selling the occupancy rights (likely to be this June/July).
