Barry was visited by his old work mates and he had a good look over the latest machinery.

 

Friday 17th September we were graced with the glamour and sparkle of models parading the latest fashions from Gables Fashions of Hamilton East.

The backstage antics and ‘divaness’ where well, I cannot say, but needless to say that giggles, ooohs and aaaahs coming from the changing lounge raised more than a few eyebrows from the eager crowd that gathered to witness the extravaganza. Read more.

Our annual invitation to the Methodist Church Concert and Afternoon Tea which is generally held in November was held on the 6th September due to other church commitments. We were entertained by the BBC - a classical trio of Barry, Carol and Colleen who respectively play the Cello, Piano and Violin.

ALSO Len Schroeder the Minister played the church organ and Darryl a parishioner sang a couple of songs for us. We were then treated to their usual 'more than we could possibly eat' sumptuous afternoon tea. An outing thoroughly enjoyed by all.
