Family Owned and OperatedThe Sandersons purchased their first site in 1987, and together with their young children, they commenced development of Omokoroa Country Estate. The children have now grown up, and after obtaining university education and work experience, have joined the family business. Sanderson Group has continued to grow and has developed, or is currently developing, seven retirement living facilities. These comprise:

Bayswater was modelled on its sister village, the highly successful Omokoroa Country Estate. Built on a 9 hectare site at Mount Maunganui, it comprises 200 independent living homes. The Avenues is a three storey architectural masterpiece of elegance and sophistication, destined to become a landmark in one of Tauranga's longest established, blue ribbon areas. The village comprises over 80 apartments, and all have access to resort-style amenities. Bayswater and The Avenues have since been sold to publicly listed Metlifecare. Fraser Sanderson was a founding member of the Retirement Villages Association (RVA) and the setting up of the RVA’s original Code of Practice and Building Code. |
