"When I came to live here three years ago I left a large, three level house with stairs. I was very unwell at the time and the idea of living in an apartment with a Rest Home attached appealed as a safe environment as help was readily available if any health problems arose.

I believe this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I live in a two bedroom apartment with a wonderful view over Hamilton Lake and back out over the south east area of the city.

I have constant peace of mind having the knowledge that there are alarm bells in several rooms which summon immediate help from the Rest Home 24/7. The Rest Home is run by an efficient, caring manager with pleasant, friendly staff.

"Making the decision to move into a retirement village is not easy. I looked at all my options before deciding on Cascades. I found that some villages were too big and did not offer the care and support that Cascades did. Aside from the support and care, it was the sense of family that confirmed it was the place for me.

The central location and the practicality of Cascades was a big plus with the hospital, bus stops and supermarkets all just five minutes away. Hamilton Lake is situated just across the road which gives many apartments and common lounge areas a lovely view.
