Do you have a range of activities?

Yes. Our Wellness Program Leader actively encourages all residents to participate in a range of activities. These activities are provided during the week and at no additional fee.

If I am a subsidised resident, do I receive any funds personally?

Yes. Work and Income will pay you a fortnightly allowance directly into your personal bank account.

Are there nurse call bells in the rooms?

Yes. These are located in your room and your bathroom.

Do you provide church services?

Yes. We hold an interdenominational church service fortnightly.

Can I have my special dietary needs met?

Absolutely. Special diets (such as vegetarian, diabetic and gluten free) can easily be catered for.

Do I keep my own doctor?

Yes if you would like to. We do however have a resident doctor available.

Can I continue my daily walk?

Yes, if you are mobile enough we encourage you to enjoy our lovely gardens and the neighboring park.

Can I receive a government subsidy for the cost of my care?

You may be eligible for a government subsidy. We can assist you through the process should you wish to make an application. You will need to be assessed by Needs Assessment and Service Coordination as requiring the appropriate level of care and assessed by Work and Income as being eligible for financial assistance.

What is the food like?

Superb, after all, food is one of life’s greatest pleasures! We have a dedicated chef who prepares delicious home-style meals.

Is there a hairdresser on site?

Yes. We have a fully equipped hair salon at the facility. Hairdressing services are available for a small fee.

Can I have my mail posted to me?

Yes. Your mail will be delivered to you on week days.

Who looks after my medication?

A Registered Nurse, in conjunction with your GP and Pharmacist, oversee your medication.

How do I ensure my personal money is safe?

We encourage you to use the trust account operated on behalf of all residents for your everyday cash requirements.

Do I have access to a Registered Nurse?

Yes. We employ a full time Registered Nurse.

Can I come and go as I please?

Yes, most definitely. For safety reasons, we ask that you please let us know when you are heading out.

Do I have access to a physiotherapist?

Yes. We can arrange a physiotherapist to visit you. A small physiotherapist fee may apply.

Can I hang pictures on the walls in my room?

Yes. Our Maintenance Manager will hang any pictures for you.

Do I have access to a podiatrist?

Yes. A podiatrist visits regularly. A small fee may apply unless the visit is prescribed by your GP.

Is smoking allowed?

We are proud to offer a refreshing, smoke-free environment to our residents and guests. However designated outdoor areas are available.

Can I enjoy a tea or coffee at any time?

Yes. In addition to having this option after each meal, including morning and afternoon tea, we have facilities for you to make a tea or coffee at any time.

Can I have a telephone in my room?

Yes. A telephone can easily be installed in your room. Please enquire at reception if you would like this service. A small fee applies.

Are there set visiting hours?

No. Visitors are welcome to visit you at any time.

Is my washing done for me?

Yes. Your washing is taken from your room and delivered back later that day, clean and folded.
